About Greg
Greg began photography as a serious hobby in late 2015, initially looking for a creative challenge and a way to continue exploring the world around me. Since then, photography has become much more than taking photographs. It has become a continuing journey of observation, experimentation, learning and discovery.
One question has remained central to Greg approach:
Why this shot? Why now?
He also tries to “think like a second photographer”, to look beyond the obvious image and consider different perspectives, compositions and possibilities before pressing the shutter.

Greg’s photographic journey has included national and international exhibitions and competitions across open, nature, monochrome, travel, street and photojournalism.

Greg’s work has also included collaborative portfolio projects, including with fellow photographer Colleen Mahoney and their successful collaborative Exhibition Near and Far and a travel photobook, The Emotion of Iceland, with his good friend Giuliano Maretto (Italy based) which received second place in the Travel Section of the Australian Photographic Society Photobook Awards.
These achievements demonstrate Greg’s commitment to his development as a photographer and his artistic growth.
